Funding for the victim services program enables us to assist victims of the following crimes, as funding permits, although not limited to:

  • Federal Crimes (e.g. Human Trafficking)
  • Survivors of Homicide
  • Victims
  • Victims of Assault, Robbery, Gang Violence, Hate and Bias Crimes, Intoxicated Drivers, Bank Robbery, Economic Exploitation and Fraud
  • Elder Abuse
  • Domestic Violence
  • Sexual Assault
  • Stalking
  • Child Abuse
  • Emotional Abuse
  • and Domestic and Sexual Prevention, Advocacy Coordinated Community Responses (DVPI)

About the Victim Services Program

The Victim Services Program (VSP) is funded by State, Federal and County grants to provide assistance to victims of violent crime. The VSP collaborates with law enforcement agencies and other victim services programs to provide assistance to the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and all outlying areas. Assistance is available to all victims, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, tribal affiliation, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
