Domestic violence does not just exist between two people in a relationship. Domestic violence can occur between two people living together, if they have a child in common, or are related by blood or marriage.
Funding from the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA/STOP Formula Grant Program) enables us to assist victims of the following crimes, although not limited to:
The Victim Services Program (VSP) is funded by state grants and provides assistance to victims of violent crime. The VSP collaborates with law enforcement agencies and other victim services programs to provide assistance to the Reno, Sparks & Carson City communities. Assistance is available to all victims, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, tribal affiliation, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
