NUI Employee Holiday Party
NUI Employees and Board Members celebrated the holidays by having a luncheon on December 15, 2009. Lunch was catered by Fig Tree Catering. A variety of games were played and gifts were exchanged.
A great time was had by all who attended.

NUI Family Feast Night - Great Turn Out!
A Family Feast Night was held at the Reno Office of NUI on Wednesday, September 16th. Over 55 people were in attendance and participants enjoyed a meal of Indian Tacos. Families came together to learn about NUI Programs, the Education and Tutoring Programs offered, and about drum making and beading classes.
NUI Princess - Donates Hair to Cancer Victims
Kayleen Scott, daughter of Amanda Astor and Jim Scott of Hungry Valley,
and granddaughter of Lawrence and Jessie Astor of Reno,
donated 21 inches of her hair to Locks for Love (an organization that provides hair to cancer victims).
Kayleen is 15 years old, attends Spanish Springs High School and is an enrolled RSIC Washoe/Shoshone Tribal member. She lives with her parents and sister in Hungry Valley. Kayleen is currently the Nevada Urban Indians Teen Princess for 2009 and the 2007 LaKaLelBe Princess.
