Exercise Program

Nevada Urban Indians, Inc. clients have the opportunity to improve their health and well-being with an exercise program that is geared to their individual needs.  The Exercise Program offers:

  • Certified Exercise Specialists
  • Assessment and Evaluation of Strength, Endurance, and Flexibility
  • Aerobic and Anaerobic excercise through a program featuring treadmill, weight-lifting, and a combination of other activities

Elder Program

The Happiness for Elders Program is funded by The Division for Aging Services and provides light housekeeping duties along with companionship for N.U.I. clientele. A Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Assistant are available through our Community Health Program to provide limited services.  Other services include:

  • Shopping & Bill Paying Assistance
  • Meal Preparation
  • Personal Care & Hygiene

Suicide Prevention Program

NUI was awarded a grant through I.H.S. for the Methamphetamine Suicide Prevention Initiative. NUI will be working in the community to provide education and awareness regarding suicide. The programs will work with youth and the community to provide prevention programs, training, awareness, and positive activities for the entire community. A calendar of future events, activities, and trainings will be posted.
